Marketing
Use SupplySynk to promote your products: keep a list of people who agreed to hear from you, make posts with photos and captions, share short buy links to your online store, and see which posts and links brought orders.
Everything here works today without a Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp Business account. Posting to Facebook and Instagram from SupplySynk is coming later; until then you copy a post's text and photos into the app, or share it on WhatsApp with one tap.
Open Marketing in the menu. It has four tabs: Posts, Contacts, Results and Settings.

Consent: why it matters and what we record
You may only send offers to people who said yes, on the channel they said yes to. The law asks for this in India (the DPDP Act, in force for consent from 2027), in the US (texts and calls under the TCPA; email under CAN-SPAM, which also needs an unsubscribe link), and WhatsApp's own rules require it. Saying yes to email isn't saying yes to WhatsApp.
SupplySynk keeps a record you can show if anyone asks:
- Per channel (email, WhatsApp, text messages): whether the person opted in or out, and when. The latest entry decides.
- The exact words they agreed to and the version of that wording, for sign-ups from your store.
- Where it came from: your store's sign-up form, an import (with the source you stated), or a manager who recorded it by hand (with a reason).
- For sign-ups from your store: the time, the person's IP address and browser, as proof they ticked the box themselves, and how it was confirmed (see below).
- Who recorded it, for anything entered by your team or over the API.
The record is never edited: every change adds an entry. A contact's page shows the whole history.
Sign-ups from your store need confirming. Anyone could type someone else's email or number into a form, so a sign-up is only a request until it's confirmed:
- Email: we email the person a link. They become subscribed when they tap Yes, send me offers on the page it opens (within 7 days). Nothing is sent to them before that.
- WhatsApp: ask the person to send you a WhatsApp message from that number. Then a manager opens Marketing → Contacts, finds them under Waiting for confirmation, taps Confirm and says how they checked. (Confirming with a one-time code on WhatsApp will come with the WhatsApp Business connection.)
The form never changes the details of someone who's already a contact.
Opting in at checkout. With the "Get offers" sign-up form on, your store's checkout (and checkouts on your own website through the Storefront API) shows the same unticked boxes: "Email me offers and news from your shop. I can unsubscribe at any time." and, once a phone is typed, the WhatsApp one. Nothing is recorded for a box left unticked, and ordering never depends on them. When a shopper ticks:
- Email: like the sign-up form, it's a request until the person confirms, so typing someone else's address subscribes nobody. Their "order received" email has a Confirm you'd like offers from your shop link (it works for 7 days). One click and they become a contact, with the wording they saw at checkout, the time, IP address and browser recorded. If the order email couldn't be sent, they get the sign-up form's confirmation email instead. This is also how someone who unsubscribed before can opt in again. Someone already subscribed isn't asked again.
- WhatsApp: it waits under Waiting for confirmation, like a sign-up from the form. A number that unsubscribed is left alone.
An existing contact's details aren't changed. Confirmed sign-ups from checkout show as coming from the sign-up form. With the sign-up form off, the boxes aren't shown and anything sent is ignored.
Unsubscribing. Every contact has an unsubscribe link per channel (shown on their page, and in exports). Put it in the messages you send. It opens a page on your business address where the person taps Unsubscribe; no sign-in, and it works even while your online store is unpublished. Their address then goes on your do-not-contact list: nobody on your team, and no import, can opt them in again. Only the person can, by signing up again and confirming the email we send them.
Changing an address. Consent belongs to an email or number. If a contact who agreed to WhatsApp gets a new number (or a new email for email offers), only a manager can change it, and their consent for that channel ends: record it again once they agree on the new one.
Erasing someone. When a person asks you to delete their data, a manager opens the contact and taps Erase contact, giving the reason. Their name, email, phone and tags are removed, the IP address and browser are cleared from their consent records, and their addresses are kept only in a scrambled form on your do-not-contact list, so they're never messaged or imported again. This can't be undone.
Contacts
Marketing → Contacts lists everyone you may market to, with a badge per channel: Subscribed, Opted out, Unsubscribed (on the do-not-contact list) or nothing (never asked).
- Add contact: a name, an email and/or a phone. Phones are saved with the country code for your business's country. No consent is recorded when you add someone; a manager records it if they agreed.
- Bring in store customers: adds your customers (from online orders and the Customers page) as contacts, without consent.
- Filters and segments: new customers (one order), repeat (two or more), lapsed (no order in a number of days), leads (no orders), bought a product or a category, a tag, or "can be messaged on WhatsApp/email". Save a filter as a segment to use it again.
- Record consent (managers and up): choose the channel, opted in or out, where the consent came from (for example "Signed form at the counter, 12 Oct") and why you're recording it.
Import (managers and up)
Upload a CSV file with a header row. Columns: name, email, phone,
tags (separated by ;), email_consent, whatsapp_consent, sms_consent
(yes or no) and consent_source, which is required.
- Consent is recorded only for rows where a
*_consentcolumn says yes andconsent_sourcesays where they agreed (for example "Paper sign-up sheet, Diwali 2026"). Leaveconsent_sourceempty for people who didn't agree: they're added without consent. - People on your do-not-contact list are never opted in by an import.
- Contacts already in your list (same email or phone) are updated, not duplicated. You see how many were added and which rows had problems.
Export (managers and up)
Choose a channel and a format. Only people who are opted in to that channel right now are exported.
- CSV: name, email or phone, when they opted in, tags and their unsubscribe link.
- vCard (.vcf): import it into your phone's contacts, then make a broadcast list in the WhatsApp Business app. Broadcasts only reach people who saved your number.
Posts
Marketing → Posts → New post opens a draft.
- Text: write it, or tap Write with AI: choose a tone (friendly, excited, premium), English or Hindi, and how many hashtags. The AI never makes up a price: if you chose a product, its real price is used, in your currency; any other amount is replaced. Read it before you post.
- Product (optional): choosing one makes a short buy link for each network you pick, so you can see which post brought each order.
- Networks: Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp. Each one shows what it needs:
- Instagram: at least one image; JPEG, between 4:5 (portrait) and 1.91:1 (landscape), up to 8 MB; up to 2,200 characters and 30 hashtags. Links in Instagram captions can't be tapped: say "link in bio" and put your link page in your Instagram bio (see below).
- Facebook: links work and show a preview of your product page.
- WhatsApp: sends the text and the buy link; attach the photo yourself.
- Images (up to 10): one of the product's photos, Generate with AI (made from your product's own photo, labelled "AI-generated", uses your monthly AI image allowance), or upload your own. Images are saved as JPEG with location data removed. Prepare for Instagram crops or adds a border so the shape fits.
- Share on WhatsApp opens WhatsApp with the text and link ready. Copy text copies them for anywhere else.
Schedule stays off until you can connect Facebook and Instagram (coming soon). Only drafts can be edited or deleted. Deleting a draft stops its buy links; their clicks and orders stay in Results.
Buy links and Results
A buy link looks like https://<your-address>/go/Ab3dEf7. It opens your
product (or a category, or your store's home page) with tags that say where
the visitor came from. When that visitor places an online order within 30
days, the order is credited to the link (the last tagged link they used).
- Make one in Marketing → Results → Create buy link, or automatically
from a post. Links always go to your own store; owners and admins can also
link to another website, which must start with
https://. - Results shows, for the last 7, 30 or 90 days: clicks, orders and revenue per link, post, campaign and source (Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp…). Cancelled orders don't count. We record when a link was clicked and which website the click came from, never the visitor's IP address.
- Archive a link to stop it working.
Settings (owners and admins)
- "Get offers" sign-up form: adds a form at the bottom of your store. People enter their email and/or WhatsApp number and tick a box for each channel they want; the boxes start unticked and show the exact wording we record. Sign-ups are confirmed as described under Consent above. It also turns on the offers boxes at checkout (see "Opting in at checkout").
- WhatsApp chat button: a green button on every store page that opens a WhatsApp chat with your shop, with a message typed in. It uses your business phone unless you enter a separate WhatsApp number.
- Link page: a page at
/linkson your store for your Instagram bio. It shows the links you pin and the products from your newest posts, each going through that post's buy link.
