Store pages

Give your online store its own home page, an About page, and landing pages for a season or a range, such as "New season bats" or "Junior cricket kit". The AI can write the first draft from your business profile and catalog; you check it, change what you like and publish it.

Open Settings → Online store → Edit store pages.

A page is a draft until an owner or admin publishes it. Drafts are never shown to shoppers, not even on a preview.

Draft a page with AI

Under Draft with AI, choose Home page, About page or Landing page. For a landing page, say what it's about ("New season bats"); its address is made from that, such as /p/new-season-bats.

What the AI does:

  • Writes the headings, short texts, the search title and description, and descriptions of the photos (alt text), from your business profile (Settings → Business profile: description, what you're known for, your story). A fuller profile gives a better draft.
  • Uses products that SupplySynk picks from your catalog: for a landing page, products whose name, tags or category match what you typed; for the home page, your pinned and best-selling products and new arrivals. The AI may only choose among those.
  • Uses your own product photos for the banner. It never uses an AI-made image to show a product.

What it never does: mention prices, discounts, offers, stock levels, delivery, reviews, ratings or awards, invent numbers or dates, or write customer quotes. Sentences that do are taken out before you see the draft. If the AI isn't available, you get a plainer draft built from your profile and catalog, and a note saying so.

Drafting a page again (Draft with AI in the editor) replaces the draft. Customer quotes you typed in are kept. What's on the store doesn't change until you publish.

Edit a page

The editor has the page details at the top, then one card per section, and a live Preview that uses the same layout as your store. Switch it between Phone and Desktop.

  • Title, Search title (up to 70 characters) and Search description (up to 160): shown in search results and when the page is shared. A landing page also has its Address (/p/...), which can only change while the page isn't published.
  • Move a section with the arrows, remove it with the bin, and add one with Add a section.
  • Save draft saves your changes. If someone else saved the page while you were editing, you're told to reload rather than overwrite their work.

Sections

SectionWhat it shows
BannerA big heading, a line of text, an image and a button
TextParagraphs and lists
ProductsProducts you choose, a category, Popular now or New arrivals, with today's prices and stock labels
Category linksTiles linking to your categories
Image and textAn image beside some text, with an optional button
Questions and answersQuestions that open to show the answer
Customer quoteA real customer's words, typed in by you with their permission
Sign-upA link to your "Get offers" form. Shown only while the sign-up is on in Marketing → Settings

Text can use a blank line for a new paragraph, - at the start of a line for a list, **bold**, *italic* and links like [our bats](/category/bats). HTML isn't allowed. A link may contain one pair of brackets, as in [junior kit](/search?q=(junior)), but not brackets inside brackets.

Buttons and links go to a page in your store (/category/bats, /search, /p/new-season-bats, /about) or to a full https:// address, an email (mailto:) or a phone number (tel:).

Products only show while they're active and in your store, so a page never shows something you've stopped selling.

Images

Every image needs a description (alt text), for people who use screen readers and for search engines. For a banner or an image-and-text section, choose:

  • Product photo: one of your own product photos. Images made by AI for a product can't be used here.
  • Upload: a photo of your shop, your team or a match day.
  • Generate: a decorative AI image, such as a cricket ground in the sun. It's labelled AI-generated in the editor and on your store. It won't show your products: products always use your own photos. It counts towards your monthly AI images (Free 5, Pro 100) and takes up to a minute.

Publish

Publish (owners and admins) puts the draft on your store:

  • the home page replaces your store's standard home page at your store's address. The standard home (in stock now, Popular now, New arrivals, your categories and story) doesn't show while your own home page is published, so add product and category sections to it. Unpublish it to get the standard home back;
  • the About page opens at /about;
  • a landing page opens at /p/<address>.

Published pages are added to your store's sitemap, use your search title and description, and are available to your own website through the Storefront API.

After publishing, keep editing safely: the store shows the published copy until you publish again. The page shows Published, with unpublished changes until then. Discard changes puts the draft back to what the store shows.

Unpublish takes the page off the store and keeps the draft. Unpublishing the home page brings back the standard home page. A published page can't be deleted; unpublish it first.

AI assistants

An AI assistant connected to SupplySynk (see AI assistants) can list pages, draft them and change drafts. Publishing or unpublishing a page always waits for your approval on the Approvals page. Customer quotes can only be added or changed by someone signed in to SupplySynk: AI assistants and API keys can't.

If a section stops passing the checks (for example after a rule changes), the editor says which one and keeps it, so you can fix or remove it. The store skips it in the meantime, and the page can't be published again until it's fixed.
